WARNING: If you are upgrading from a Beta release of TWB 5.x, you will need to update the firmware twice. Please read Firmware release notes carefully.
The Firmware update procedure has been updated to avoid potential hazards. Please follow the updated instructions detailed in Appendix E of the users' guide.

1.1 - Firmware
2 - Feature Description
2.1 - Vector Fail Trigger / Latch
2.2 - Increased Vector Depth
1.1 - Firmware
If you have a v550 loaded with R1 firmware you will need to update your firmware with R2 firmware twice.
The block layout of the flash changed between R1 and R2, because of this you will need to update the firmware and FPGA images twice.
Follow the procedures in the User's Guide for updating firmware. The first time you attempt an upgrade you may get an error message saying the TWB timed out while waiting for a reboot. Manually reboot your tester.
Even if you did not have to manually reboot your tester, you will need to update the firmware again. Do not try running tests until you do two updated.
The following procedure should be used to upgrade the firmware on the V550:
1. Gather and manually write down the configuration of the tester (IP, etc.).
2. Reset the tester to factory configuration.
3. Set the tester IP address.
4. Reboot the tester.
5. Reconnect with TWB.
6. Upgrade/downgrade the tester.
7. Reboot the tester.
8. Reconnect with TWB.
9. Reconfigure the tester with the information saved in step 1.
2 - Feature Description
2.1 - Vector Fail Trigger / Latch
The v550 can produce a both a trigger pulse and a latched failure signal when a failure occurs in the pattern set
2.2 - Increased Vector Depth
The v550 can now support vector depths of 64M vectors per pin.
