Release Notes for v5.2 V550 Firmware b09 on up

100MHz

The current V550 supports running at speeds of up to 100MHz (10ns scan rate). Precise periods up to 100mhz can be achieved. The known potential issues that may effect execution results are:

1. Scan Clock have a 4.5ns delay with respect to the Scan IO signals. This delay will be removed with the calibration release. Until then, users should be aware of this delay and compensate accordingly in their projects.

Firmware Upgrade

If you have a v550 loaded with R1 firmware you will need to update your firmware with R2 firmware twice.

The block layout of the flash changed between R1 and R2, because of this you will need to update the firmware and FPGA images twice.

Follow the procedures in the User's Guide for updating firmware. The first time you attempt an upgrade you may get an error message saying the TWB timed out while waiting for a reboot. Manually reboot your tester.

Even if you did not have to manually reboot your tester, you will need to update the firmware again. Do not try running tests until you do two updated.
