Fix inverted clock spec in ITP file.
The following bugs were fixed in release 4.3.5
Fixed parsing error for FastScan STIL with an end marker but no beginning marker.
ForcePrior and ForceUnknown events crossing WFT boundaries are now supported.
VLCT
Set VLCT T2 (2nd drive edge) to T1+11ns from 7ns
Use separate vlct wft metadata generator. Turns Ts and t's into Xs and so forth.
Force compile-time loop flattening for VLCT.
Parser fix for null STIL header block.
Support additional debug output.
Updated Chain Plot. The chain plot has been changed to a graphical chain plot.
Optional Scan Cell name in Scan Logs. There is now an option to export the scan cell name as a comment in a Scan Based failure files.
The following bugs were fixed in release 4.3.2
Shmoo tests did not turn off DUT power supplies after the tests
After re-compiling a test the Run button was not grayed out, indicating the new vectors should be downloadeed before the next run.
TWB somtimes connected to the wrong tester
A tester would be missing from the list of known testers for the first 15-seconds
Could Merge a STIL file without compiling the initial PE first
No tester can be connected after selecting Stop in tester connect window
Release v4.3.1 includes all features of the previous releases. Please read the Release_Note and User's Guide for complete information.
The following features/bug fixes have been add for V4.3.1:
When a scan cell had a mismatch, the hierarchical view mislabeled the mismatch.
When the V93K pattern compile was running some process were not properly terminated.
Edit of the period was not always applied to all Waveform Tables.
For VLCT, the number of waveform shapes was incorrectly computed.
For V93K, a missing pin voltage definition could cause an exception. For V93K, added a preference to state the location ait/aiv program locations.
This release contains new FPGAs. Calibration data should be reset back to Factory Defaults and any custom calibrations may need to be re-calculated
After running a Test Flow, the Run button in the navigation (left) pane is incorrectly enabled for all Patterns. In this situation, pressing the Run button to run a test before downloading the pattern may yield unexpected results. Users should download the selected pattern before running a test. This is a known defect and will be fixed in a future release.
This section previews the steps you must take to:
Install your V520 hardware
Install your TWB software
Set up your FLEXlm license server.
Additional documentation, available at the Teseda public ftp site (ftp.teseda.com/pub/), explains what's involved in each of these steps in more detail.
To install your V520 system and TWB software: Obtain a FLEXlm license file from Teseda. The getLicense.pdf document at the Teseda public ftp site (ftp://ftp.teseda.com/pub/) explains how to do this.
Download and install the v4.3.5Teseda WorkBench software from the Teseda secure website: https://support.teseda.com/release/TWB-v43 You need a username and password to access this directory. Your v4.3.5 software release notification email should provide this information.
Download the compressed FLEXlm manager files from the Teseda secure website: https://support.teseda.com/release/TWB-v43/flexlm. You need a username and password to access this directory. See the getLicense.pdf for details.
Set up a FLEXlm service on your network. See the Install_Guide.pdf for details; this PDF file is also available at ftp://ftp.teseda.com/pub/
Upgrade the Firmware (.bin) file of your V520 hardware unit. See the Install_Guide.pdf file for a procedure describing how to do this. Also, the Release_Notes.pdf documents contains the specific file name that you'll want to use for the upgrade.
NOTE: FPGA and Firmware upgrades are only required for existing, not new, systems. To verify whether your FPGA files are current choose the Actions > Tester Maintenance > Firmware Version in the TWB. The 5 version numbers should correspond to the version numbers listed in the v4.3.5 release notes.
To complete the release installation, you must upgrade the Firmware .bin file and the four FPGA .bit files using the following procedure. (See also Upgrading V500 FPGAs and Firmware, Appendix E of the V500 Series User's Guide.)
Upgrading the firmware of the Teseda V520 tester for the v4.3 release requires that the upgrade process begin with the device immediately after power on to complete successfully. The device, after having been used for tasks such as executing tests, may not have sufficient free memory for the upgrade process to succeed
Invoke the TWB. The newly-installed twb.jar is launched. Make sure that the TWB version number displayed on startup matches the version shipped for v4.3.0, as specified in the Release_Notes.pdf file.
Connect to the V500 Series hardware unit by choosing the Actions > Connect to Tester menu item and entering the IP address that corresponds to your V520 unit.
Choose the Actions > Tester Maintenance > Update Firmware menu item. An Update Firmware Warning message appears. Read the message, then click OK. The Tester Maintenance – TWB dialog box appears. You will need to install the Firmware file and the four FPGA files. The .bin and .bit files are located in the images subdirectory of your TWB installation, (typically found at c:/Program Files/TesedaTWB/images in a Windows environments).
Update the ControL FPGA. click Browse next to the Control FPGA and navigate to the images subdirectory. Select the correct .bit file, then click Choose.
Repeat the above step for the three Data FPGAs.
Update the Firmware file. For the Firmware, click Browse and navigate to the images subdirectory. Select the correct .bin file, then click Choose.
Now, click “Install All and Reboot.”
Click OK when the hardware unit will be updated and then reboot. After the reboot the V500 Series System Status LED turns green.
Choose the Actions > Tester Maintenance > Firmware Version menu item. Confirm that your Control FPGA, Data FPGAs, and Firmware files are now set to the versions shown below:
Control FPGA 4.0.4.10
Data FPGA 1 4.0.4.6
Data FPGA 2 4.0.4.6
Data FPGA 3 4.0.4.6
Firmware 4.3.1.21
The following NOTES describe important information you need to know before installing the TWB software.
This release is intended to be installed over your existing V500 (TWB 2) or V520 (TWB 3) software, but you may also install the software as a complete installation in itself. In either case, You DO NOT NEED TO UNINSTALL existing V500 Series software.
If you are installing successive versions of the TWB, *AND* you are not installing to the default directory (C:/Program Files/TesedaTWB in Windows, for example), it is possible that you may be opening outdated versions of the V500 Series manuals from the Help > Online Documentation menu. If you have been installing the TWB to the default directory, you can ignore the rest of this note. To ensure that you are using the most current versions of the V500 Series documents, choose View > Preferences and activate the Help Files tab. Set the pathname for the Help Directories File to the location of your newly-installed Help files. In Windows, the directory will look like this: C:/Program Files/<install_directory>/Help where <install_directory> is the name of the directory where you have installed your TWB software. The directory for a Linux or Solaris installation depends on which location your system picks for an install directory. See the Install_Guide.pdf document for details.
Before installing the new FIRMWARE .bin files, reboot the V520 hardware unit by cycling the power OFF then back ON. When the System Status LED is green, the V520 is re-booted and ready.
Since this release is really a complete re-install of your V500 Series TWB software, any changes you have made in the twb.lax file will be saved, but cannot be readily used. If you have modified your twb.lax file, you may want to merge your changes by hand from the twb.lax.old to the newly-installed twb.lax file.
If you decide to move or copy any one of the PDF Help files from the TWB install directory, you will break the cross-referencing links among the files. However, if you copy and move the entire Help directory, your links will resolve because copying the entire Help directory preserves the relative directory structure that the files need for the links to work. For this reason, cross references in these PDF documents, if retrieved from the Teseda ftp site,do not resolve.
If you receive a new teseda.lic license file, and you have the FLEXlm license service running locally on your workstation, you must re-read the license file before you can successfully launch the TWB. First, copy the new teseda.lic file to your TWB install directory, then complete the following steps:
In Windows...
1. Open the LMTOOLS by executing the lmtools.exe file, typically located in the C:/flexlm directory.
2. In the LMTOOLS dialog box, activate the Start/Stop/ReRead tab and then click the Re Read License File button. Once the license file is read this message appears:
Reread Server License File Completed
In Linux/Solaris...
As root, execute the following command:
/etc/init.d/teseda_lmgr reread
Some changes have been made in the API and CLI. In particular the way the power subsystem is configured has been changed. A power configuration must be explcitly created (no default is created) for new projects. Old scripts based on the API or CLI will have to be modified to use the new API functions.
The TWB.lax file that gets loaded will have double quotes around the path to location of the license file. These double quotes need to be removed to work on Linux.e.g. -DLMLicenseFile=/home/John/TesedaTWB/teseda.lic
Also, another Java parameter needs to be added to the same line with the Linux station's IP address. (This is not the IP address of the V520) e.g. -Dcom.sun.CORBA.ORBServerHost=192.168.10.5
The line in the TWB.lax file should look like something like the following:e.g.
lax.nl.java.option.additional=-Xms1535M -Xmx1535M -DLMLicenseFile=/home/John/TesedaTWB/teseda.lic -Dcom.sun.CORBA.ORBServerHost=192.168.10.5
For more details, see Using an existing, modified twb.lax file in the V500 Series Installation, Maintenance, and Safety Guide (Install_Guide.pdf). See also Appendix E in the V500 Series Teseda WorkBench and Hardware User's Guide).
